This past Saturday, we rolled out of Hamilton Park and into CycleBar Jersey City's Fall Open House at 65 Bay St — and it was exactly what a neighborhood Saturday should look like.
Showing up where riders are
CycleBar owner Becky invited us to pop up for their Fall Open House, running 7:30 AM to 12:45 PM, and we came ready: discount cards for every tune-up rider, a raffle signup sheet with prizes for attendees, and the crew on hand to talk bikes, fit, and gear with anyone curious.
This is what we do — show up in Jersey City, not just sit in it. When the city's fitness community throws open its doors, your local bike shop should be there.
Why it matters
A bike shop is only as good as its neighborhood. Pop-ups like this one let people put faces to the shop, ask the questions they'd never bring in through the front door ("is my bike even worth fixing?"), and see that the folks behind the counter actually ride.
We're grateful to Becky and the CycleBar team for the invite — and this isn't a one-off. More collabs are in the works, including a pop-up at the Hoboken location down the line.
Missed it? Come see us anyway
