Give your child a confident start on two wheels.

The Jersey City Bicycle Company is hosting a FREE Youth Learn to Ride event in Jersey City for kids ages 8–12 who are learning to ride independently or still need a little help building confidence.

This beginner-friendly lesson focuses on the fundamentals of riding in a welcoming, low-pressure environment.

Bikes are provided. No previous riding experience is required.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

BALANCE + BIKE CONTROL
Practice the fundamental skills needed to feel comfortable and stable on a bicycle.

STARTING + STOPPING
Learn how to safely get moving, slow down, stop, and maintain control.

CONFIDENCE ON TWO WHEELS
Put the fundamentals together and work toward riding independently.

WHO SHOULD SIGN UP?

This event is specifically designed for children ages 8–12 who cannot yet ride a bicycle independently or are still developing basic riding skills.

Your child does not need to own a bike or have previous cycling experience to participate.

BEFORE YOU REGISTER

Registration is free but required. Space is limited to ensure each child receives appropriate instruction and attention.

Please register one child per reservation so we have an accurate participant count and can prepare the appropriate number of bikes.

A parent or legal guardian must remain present for the duration of the event.
